Established in 2008, the MEGAMAN Charity Trust Fund has two aims; education and environmental protection.
Since its creation, the Trust has donated to a wide variety of charitable causes, established partnerships with charities, colleges and non-governmental organisations across the globe and funded research projects to increase the knowledge of light and its impact on everyday life.
Recently funded research projects include;
- Light Volumes, Dark Matters- the Helen Hamlyn Centre and the Royal College of Art and the RCA's Department of Architecture.
- Cities in the Shade- the second collaboration between the Helen Hamlyn Centre at the Royal College of Art and the RCA's Department of Architecture to investigate new strategies for sustainable lighting in the public realm.
