Megaman Supports Energy Saving Week
October's Call to Action: Stop Wasting Energy!
As one of the world's leading manufacturers of energy saving compact fluorescent lamps, Megaman has pioneered the development of many innovative products designed to replace energy guzzling incandescent light bulbs. But it has also, over time, taken an internationally active role in supporting efforts to improve the global environment. That includes a close and supportive relationship with Britain's Energy Saving Trust.
Megaman UK is therefore proud to support EST's annual Energy Saving Week, which this year runs from 19th to 25th October, its thirteenth year. Energy Saving Week 2009 will be an important event for both our pockets and the planet.
The theme of Energy Saving Week this year is tackling wastefulness in Britain. Clearly the recession has fundamentally shifted the way we live; and made us re-address the daily resources we use: money, food, energy etc. With this in mind, this year's event will examine how wasteful Britons are with their time, money and energy.
Throughout the week, it will examine what people are wasting - money, energy, time etc - how they are doing it - through bad habits, lifestyle, behaviour etc - and explore how simple actions can help rectify the problem.
Megaman UK supports this initiative unconditionally, and is mounting it's own domestic campaign to cut down on wasting money, energy and time. It urges customers, staff and other key stakeholders to get actively involved in Energy Saving Week.
